The Good News and (Maybe) Better News

In October 2017 Person of the Planet sponsored a public talk by Dr. Robert Epstein.  Dr. Epstein presented one of the most popular discussions of the year with many attendees requesting another talk.  Person of the Planet is delighted to announce that event will take place at Arlington Community Church this month.

Bob Epstein’s Talk on Oct. 18, 2018:  California Accomplishments in Addressing Climate Change and the Role of the State in the Coming Decade

Recently California announced the 2016 greenhouse gas emissions inventory.  We achieved our goal of reducing emissions to 1990 levels four years ahead of the 2020 target date.  This talk will look at how that was achieved – what is working and what isn’t. As we plan for a further 40% reduction by 2030, how can that be achieved and what is the role of California in the global context of reducing worldwide emissions in the developing and developed countries.
